Meet Daan, Director and Australia Account Manager at Human Digital

Daan graduated in Hospitality and Business Administration and he has a wide international experience dealing with business. He brings his expertise into smart solutions and digital content creation that exceed both client and customer expectations for our Sydney office.

Tell us about yourself and your background

Having lived abroad for the majority of my adult life, I have had the privilege to absorb various cultures and develop an international mindset that has brought me to where I am today, Australia. Growing up in a small town in the Netherlands, I always knew that there was a big world out there to explore, and this is what drove me to venture into the unknown.

I started my professional career in the hospitality industry and graduated with a Bachelor in International Hotel Management and Business Administration from Hotelschool The Hague in 2018. During my education I worked in multiple businesses including the Savoy Hotel in London. Whilst graduating I worked as a junior concept developer for hospitality concepts in Dubai at H-Hospitality.

In Australia I started my own Social Media Marketing Agency to enable businesses to connect with their target market on social media and gain more value out of their digital marketing investments. Successfully delivering results to various clients, including Human Digital, for 2 years has gotten me to the position I am today.

What are the things you truly love about what you do?

Something that truly brings me joy when working with clients is to see how our strategies, campaigns, and designs contribute to the success and growth of their businesses. I very much enjoy collaborating with both clients and our Human Digital team to create digital content and solutions that represent the client and exceed both client and customer expectations!

What made you want to join Human Digital?

With the digital economy growing, businesses are required to adapt and innovate in order to be able to compete and deliver valuable services to the right customer segments, through the right channels. Human Digital helps businesses to stand out in the digital landscape with a unique human-centred design principle which always puts humans and the human experience first. This is a business value that I find very important to have in the current business environment when businesses are struggling to keep a human element as part of their digital presence. Human Digital enables businesses to grow without loosing the human element.

What do you like the most about working here?

The collaborative approach that the entire team shares, as well as the creative freedom that is provided. Ideas are explored and implemented to deliver the best results to the clients and optimising the human-centred workflow within Human Digital. I also very much enjoy the diversity in our client base which makes requires a unique strategy and project execution for each one.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in the smaller things. It can be a colour palette that catches my eye, a lyric in a song, or a conversation. I would say that I have an imaginative mind that is always thinking creatively both in and outside of the workplace!
