American-based streaming service Hulu hosted their first-ever virtual PrideFest on June 28th. Their new virtual experience was free and stemmed from a need to pivot from traditional events like Pride marches and other Pride Month festivities that had been canceled due to COVID-19.

Hulu paired fun and colorful creative with an interactive platform that acted as a virtual festival, where guests were able customize their own avatar and digitally explore the island. The island included "The Main Stage" with live entertainment, a flower field where guests could plant virtual flowers and leave supportive messages, and a space to donate to the ACLU, an organization that fights to support LGBTQ+ rights.
